Hiking in the Zillertal
"You can see better on foot," said the painter Paul Klee. And if you are out and about in the Zillertal Alps on foot, you will realize that you can only take in all the magical impressions on foot. The lush green of the alpine meadows, the rugged rock formations. A chamois peering curiously from behind a rocky outcrop. Hiking not only strengthens the body, but is also good for the soul. It liberates, cleanses and is great fun!
Hiking trails & alpine huts
The Zillertal has more than 1,000 kilometers of hiking trails. You don't have to hike them all. Choose your favorite routes. From easy to difficult. From alpine hikes to high mountain tours. But please only do the latter in the company of trained hiking guides.
There are plenty of them here in Hippach and throughout the Zillertal. You don't have to visit 150 mountain huts, but you should definitely pay a visit to one or two of them. Homemade bread and bacon, delicious cheese dumplings and a freshly tapped beer. You can taste the nature!
